During his recent appearance as a celebrity guest judge in Sony TV’s hit singing TV reality show Indian Idol 12, Karan opens up with epic story about Salman being in KKHH.

This will surely get a huge smile on the global fandom of Salman Khan fans across the world. It so happened that back in the year 1998, when KJo had been meeting several actors in order to play Kajol (Anjali) on screen groom Aman on screen he had only been facing rejections as people to whom he approached swiftly turned it down as it already had superstar Shah Rukh Khan as a part of the film’s main star cast. It was at actor Chunky Panday’s house when the global superstar and stellar actor Salman Khan asked Karan in his style if he is actually done asking actors to play Aman on screen alongside Kajol and this got followed by Karan being baffled and shocked when Salman himself agreed to play this character before it even got properly narrated to him by Karan.
Speaking about this cherishable memory on Indian Idol 12’s recent episode, Karan said, “Toh woh meri taraf aaye aur unhone kaha apni style mein, ‘Tune kar li shopping?’ I said, ‘Shopping?’. He said, ‘Haan, tu gaya na sab ke paas. Woh shopping hi toh hoti hai. Lekin iss film ko karne ke liye kisi ko paagal hona chahiye aur main woh paagal hoon’ (Salman came up to me and in his signature style asked me if I was done shopping. I was confused. He said, ‘Yes, you went to everyone that is just like shopping. But someone needs to be mad to do this film and I am that mad person’)”.
The next day Karan gladly went to Salman’s residence and narrated the story and telling more about it, Karan revealed, “Main darr gaya, maine socha inko lag toh nahi raha ki Shah Rukh ka role main inhe offer kar raha hoon. I said, ‘But sir, aapka role aaya nahi, woh toh second half mein hai.’ He said, ‘Mujhe kya farak padta hai? Main aapke pitaji ko jaanta hoon, main unke liye kar raha hoon yeh film”.
