Hugh Grant On Doing Sequel For One Of His Rom-Com Movies

Hugh Grant expresses he wants to do a sequel to one of his famous rom-com movies. He will like to show the audience the part after the happily ever after.

Actor Hugh Grant is known for starring in many famous romantic comedy movies. He has featured in films like Notting Hill and Love Actually. The masses have been waiting for quite a while for the sequel of many of Hugh’s rom-com movies. Speaking of the same, Hugh Grant expressed that he surely wants to do a sequel to one of his famous rom-com movies.

Hugh wants to do the sequel to show the people that it a terrible lie.

During his Q&A session with HBO, Grant said, “I would like to do a sequel to one of my own romantic comedies that shows what happened after those films ended.”

Furthermore, he added, “Really, to prove the terrible lie that they all were, that it was a happy ending.”

For the unknown, Hugh Grant shared the screen space with Julia Roberts in Notting Hill. In the movie, Hugh plays the role of a bookstore owner in London whose name is Will Thacker. He meets actress Anna Scott played by Julia Roberts after she enters his store.

The story of the movie then progresses with the two overcoming all the hurdles and finding their happily ever after. In fact, the movie ends with Anna played by Julia being pregnant with Will’s child.

Poking fun, Hugh said, “I’d like to do me and Julia and the hideous divorce that’s ensued with really expensive lawyers, children involved in (a) tug of love, floods of tears. Psychologically scarred forever.”

Hugh Grant has starred in many rom-com movies like Four Weddings and a Funeral, Nine Months, and Bridget Jones’s Diary.

Well, as an actor who has starred in so many rom-com films it comes as a surprise. But surely the audiences might love a twist to the cliché endings. Hugh Grant giving a twist to the sequel of one of his rom-com movies will be a treat.
