Himanshi Khurana and Abhishek Nigam are both seen on television and in music videos. Both have become popular youth choices and always let their fans know what they are doing and what they plan on for festivities like Diwali, Holi, and Mahashivratri. As yesterday, the two actors shared their way of rituals on how they celebrate Mahashivtri with family or solo.
Abhishek Nigam and Himanshi Khurana on Mahashivratri
Abhishek Nigam was recently asked about his way of his celebrating Mahashivratri and he said that he prays to lord Shiva for his family and fans’ well-being also along with my family. They perform a Rudra Abhishek of lord Shiva with his family at his home.
“Maha Shivratri is an important day for all the devotees as it is said that today is the day when shiv and Parvati got married. And we all celebrate it will full of joy and happiness.”- he said in an interview. He said that he fasts on that day and also has health benefits. Upon asking what he chants on that auspicious day; he replies that he chants only the Maha Mritunjay mantra.

Himanshi Khurana also shared her way of performing Mahashivratri. She revealed that has planned to visit Rishikesh with her loved ones and will spend some quality time doing spiritual practices also will chant Om Namah Shivay for a while and release all the negative energy from her mind, body, and soul She also said that worshipping Lord Shiva on this day bestows one with happiness and prosperity.
“This festival is celebrated annually in honor of the deity Shiva. The festival commemorates the wedding of Shiva and Parvati and is also regarded to be the occasion that the deity performs his divine dance. Which is known as Tandava.” -she said about the auspicious day.

Upon asking that she also do fasting like many people; she said that she did not get time to do fasting because of her busy schedule. She also shared that no there is no family tradition that they have but her entire family has faith and believes in Lord Shiva so they pay tribute to him on this day.
