The most prominent folklore television drama Naagin is all set to get a silver screen spin off. Actor-producer Nikhil Dwivedi wants to take the super hit show to the next level and promises the three part film franchise will be high on VFX. Meanwhile, the director behind hit web series Criminal Justice, Vishal Furia, will be helming the massive project.
According to reports, the supernatural franchise will be created on an enormous scale.
Although Nikhil did not reveal the news, It was, trade analyst Komal Nahta who gave the big news on social media, Komal shared, “Film producer and film enthusiast #NikhilDwivedi will produce a 3-film franchise on #Nagin, which will be directed by #VishalFuria of #Lapachhapi fame.”
However, without exposing anymore facts, Nikhil just retweeted Nahta’s post.
This is not the first time Naagin has been planned for a big screen spin off. Reportedly, last year Ekta Kapoor had shared that she primarily proposed the idea to bring the hit TV series for the big screen adaption. Ekta had even approached Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif to play the leads.
Priyanka almost agreed to act in the movie, while Katrina wasn’t sure about the project. Eventually both the B-Town divas opted out from the project.
