During the Sunday premier of Bigg Boss OTT, Shamita Shetty was introduced as the first female contestant in Karan Johar show.
Netizens were shocked to see Shamita in the show, as her family is going through a lot lately. Her brother-in-law and Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra was arrested in pornography case.
Meanwhile, Shamita who also participated in Bigg Boss 3 seemed happy about her re-entry in the controversial show after 10 years, talking to Karan; Shamita said “I am so thankful that I am back on Bigg Boss after 10 years. I have changed a lot since then. Honestly, the offer came long back and I had already said yes. However, a lot happened recently and I thought I will let go of the opportunity. But since I had committed, toh ek baar maine commitment kardi to main kisi aur ki nahi sunti.”
However, a source close to the production claimed, Shilpa was approached for the show at the last minute.
“Shamita was not offered the show to participate as a contestant. The actress was in fact approached to enter the house for four days prior to the show went on-air. And she said yes to it a day prior of entering the show.”
Although, Shamita participated in Bigg Boss 3, but withdrew her involvement within a month, post that, she participated in Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa and Khatron Ke Khiladi.
