Urfi Javed: I’ve Struggled A Lot In My Career, I’m Still Struggling

In a recent interview with a leading digital entertainment publication, opening up on her story Bigg Boss OTT fame Urfi Javed says I've struggled a lot in my career, I'm still struggling.

Best known for being bold and outspoken in renowned bollywood producer Karan Johar’s popular OTT reality series titled Bigg Boss OTT that streamed digitally on Voot Select from August till September 2021, renowned TV actress Urfi Javed has been in the news lately for her fashion choices and in a recent interview with a leading digital entertainment portal, Urfi Javed says I’ve struggled a lot in my career, I’m still struggling.

The actress gets trolled for her choice of outfits, but she is least bothered about what others say about her. Urfi, who has been in the industry for quite some time now, has seen many ups and downs. Her journey wasn’t a easy one and speaking about the same in her new candid conversation, Urfi Javed says I’ve struggled a lot in my career, I’m still struggling.

Opening up on her story of struggle in the industry and how her journey has not been an easy one, Urfi Javed says I’ve struggled a lot in my career, I’m still struggling.

Urfi clearly talked about how she has struggled a lot in her career and that she is ‘still struggling’. The actress shared that there have been times when she slept empty stomach as she didn’t have money for food.

Urfi ran away from her house to make a name for herself. After coming to Mumbai, she has been a part of several shows, but luck was not on her side. She has faced a lot of rejections.

Whilst talking about her entire journey, Urfi also recalled an incident wherein she had been conned and trapped by a producer who forced to do several explicit scenes for a web series and when she denied doing that, the producer literally threatened sending her to jail and also told her to pay him a huge amount of money as compensation.

She went on to share that post the shoot, when she was forced to do the explicit scenes, she had suicidal thoughts. The actress had refused to go to shoot the next day after which he threatened her and demanded Rs 40 lakh.

Also opening up on how nothing significant has changed foe her in the industry even now, Urfi shared, “I’ve struggled a lot in my career. I am still struggling, I feel. I started my career with Rs 3000 per day. Also, initially, I don’t know why but things were not working in my favour. All the shows I would sign, they would shut down in 3 months time. I don’t think I’ve done shows for more than 3 months and I’ve ended up doing some 10-12 shows”.

When asked that what kept her going strong, Urfi said, “I had only two options either keep struggling or suicide. Till date I’ve no plan B, this is what I know to do. This is my only plan and I’ve never thought about what else I can do. I don’t think I would have been alive if I had not become an actress”.

Urfi is known for playing the role of Avni in Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania, Aarti in Meri Durga, Bella in Bepannaah and Mira In Puncch Beat Season 2. She lasted in the Bigg Boss OTT house only for a week.
