Indian television’s most loved and successful serial which made fandoms globally fall in love with Arnav Singh Raizada and Khushi Kumari Gupta’s onscreen chemistry produced by ace producer Gul Khan’s banner Four Lions Films, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (IPKKND, Star Plus, 2011 – 2012) completes a glorious decade today and making it more special, Barun Sanaya mark 10 years of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.
This serial has had a really special place in our lives and hearts since it was one of those smashing successful shows which catapulted both Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani on the pinnacle of being tinsel town’s most globally loved TV superstars and also audiences and fans favorite reel jodi and also gave them loads of fame and recognition not just in India but on a global level too and today is indeed special since Barun Sanaya mark 10 years of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.
In a recently held special exclusive interview by a well renowned journalist on her Youtube channel, fondly remembering their Iss Pyaar Ko shooting days and much more, both Barun Sanaya mark 10 years of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.

When asked to Sanaya about her remembering the exact moment when Barun had auditioned for role of Arnav Singh Raizada, on this Sanaya said, “Yeah I remember. First time when I and him did a scene together that time I was really put off with Barun more so like, ‘Who is he’ and I don’t like to say this but initially that time he looked really off like this guy who came from America with an accent and I didn’t know then that why is he here”.
Continuing on same, she also said, “I was just like Oh god, is he going to be opposite me and that was the judgemental me 10 years back who is not like that now so that was my first meeting with him and then we did a scene together which was good as when we did that scene, I was like Oh he’s good”.
When asked to both Barun and Sanaya about the fact that from first day then till now do they still go on walks together, on this Barun said, “In those days it hadn’t even started since it was a developmental part in our relationship over the years and we both started going on walks only now and not in the last many years and infact Sanaya was really weird as she never used to walk. I remember one time we both were shooting in film city and I told her, chal walk ke liye chalte hai and then Sanaya looked at me like I had a cancer or something”.
Continuing on same Sanaya added, “Yeah I just didn’t really like moving around a lot since I was always very tired and exhausted from working so I didn’t move around a lot but I think my walking began when I started travelling around the world as you walk there since you get to walk in beautiful places and that’s where I started enjoying it and many years post show now Barun and me do our evening walks together”.
When asked to Barun about what exactly about content do they discuss in their evening walks together with special emphasis on award winning actor Barun and his series Asur being talk of town in lockdown, on this Barun asserted, “It’s a part of so-called dream. I think we become our images as actors and here I am not taking away from career since that’s the choice we made, where you become an image and brand for your show but yes deep down inside, we are those little kids who want to have these conversations about our so-called dreams when we get a chance to get together so it’s a really heart filling thing for me to be honest to be a part of things that I am starting to be a part of now all thanks to digital revolution otherwise I don’t know what I’d be doing and would still be out of work I think”.
When asked to both Barun and Sanaya that how did this clutter breaking role came to both of them who were initially thought of as rejects where Sanaya was termed as South Bombay girl who couldn’t have played Khushi Kumari Gupta in IPKKND whereas Barun didn’t fit part due to his unkempt beard, on this Barun exclaimed, “I looked like the part” and when further quizzed to Sanaya about her breaking the clutter then so is it difficult now for her to bag a role or a content that she wants to be a part of since they identify her as a TV face and on this Sanaya said, “I don’t have an answer to this and also I don’t get it. I don’t get why I am not part of good content. I do definitely believe I will do it. I also think that its all about timing in life as it’s about that one phone call and show that would change your life. Over the years I’ve prepared myself so well that I am like when you get opportunity Sanaya, just nail it so that there’s no looking back. I am in that weird position of not knowing why it’s not happening in the way it should but it did at one point when I entered in TV, it did and I know I will do good content”.
