Legendary singer and music composer Bappi Lahiri took his last breath on Tuesday night (15 Feb). The doctors informed that he was battling multiple health issues for quite some time now. Bappi Lahiri made his last public appearance on Salman Khan’s reality show ‘Bigg Boss 15’ to promote the launch of his grandson Swastik’s new song, ‘Baccha Party’.
Bigg Boss 15 contestants have paid a heartfelt tribute to the late singer on social media.
Bigg Boss 15 winner Tejasswi Prakash shared a picture of Bappi Lahiri and wrote, “Rest in peace Bappi Da! To the end of an era… We all grew up listening and grooving to your songs. You will forever be remembered. Om Shanti.”
Karan Kundrra recalled Bappi Lahiri’s visit to Bigg Boss house in his tweet that reads, “Saddened and shocked.. you’re a legend dada.. you gave us so much love and positivity when you came to the BB house.. can’t believe Om Shanti.”
Shamita Shetty wrote on Instagram, “A man of Incredible talent and melody has left us. He shall always stay golden in our hearts. My condolences to his family and fans.”
Many celebrities from the Bollywood industry visited Bappi Lahiri’s house to pay their last respects. His funeral will be conducted tomorrow.
