After impressing her audience on TV in shows like Vighnaharta Ganesha and Ekta Kapoor’s Yeh Hai Mohobbatein, Anupama Solanki is making her debut on the web. The actor portrays a pivotal part in the forthcoming web series titled His Story. Bankrolled by Ekta Kapoor, the series, earlier titled Hum Se Humsafar, narrates a same sex love story and explaining about her part in series, Anupama says, “This is the first time I am being a part of such a concept around the LGBTQI+ community. There are several other things that I am doing for the first time as far as this project is concerned. To begin with this is my debut on the web and I can’t wait to see how the audience would respond to my performance. His Story also marks my first association with AltBalaji. I have always wanted to work with Ekta Kapoor, she is one of the best in the industry. And yes the title Hum se Humsafar was changed to His Story, I don’t know the exact reason behind this step. But I can say the new title His Storyy is more appealing and perfectly defines the essence of the narrative”.

Talking about the concept of the show, Solanki shares that as an actor she is open to new things. So when this story on gay relationships was offered to her she was more than happy to take it up and speaking about same, she added, “Every human has the right to take a stand for his/her choices, desires and dreams. God makes us what we are. So if you are against gay relationships remember you are going against God. Love is universal and should be respected. I know some might not be comfortable, but I have no such inhibition against the community”.

Meanwhile, Solanki is also discussing other TV and web offers she has. The actor plans to balance work in both mediums.

Talking about the kind of work she is keen on doing, she says, “I am open to experimenting but I am not comfortable when it comes to bold scenes, the reason why I lose out on 50% work that comes my way.  But I am happy being able to follow my heart and doing limited work. I have grown up watching saas-bahu shows, I kind of like the simplicity and versatility of these shows. You get to see different kind of characters much like in real life. I enjoy doing such shows, I am also game for simple, reality-driven characters”.
