Speaking about Anuj’s character in highly anticipated series, he would be seen essaying character of Vishnu who is a street smart investigating officer that is all ready and geared up to solve a mysterious murder case in Rosewood High and whilst usually we see many actors going gung ho and speak up on their digital debuts, Anuj remained completely elusive on the filming sets of the series.

The shooting of Puncch Beat 2 took place in Dehradun but Anuj Choudhary completely maintained his distance from cast members including Priyank Sharma, Nikki Walia and others. Anuj didn’t talk and interact with others on sets and also stayed at his friend’s cottage during entire shooting schedule whilst others stayed at a different hotel.

Speaking about it in his recent interview with a leading digital entertainment portal, he shared, “No one from the cast knew about my whereabouts” and this doesn’t mean that he wasn’t cordial with his cast members and this elusiveness was because he wanted to stay real and true to his character and opening up on same, he said, “Well, my character was such that I had to maintain distance from other characters. I couldn’t let the culture of season 1 stick to me for my character. I play Vishnu, an investigating officer, so these guys don’t know who and how he is. Therefore, to maintain the ambiguity, the uncertainty, and the truth of the situation on screen, I chose to maintain a distance from the cast members. The whole idea was that I didn’t want anyone to become familiar with anything to do with Vishnu, so when we performed scenes, they could be closest to the truth of that circumstance. I wanted to approach it in this way”.

Also mentioning about how whilst others on sets aimed for getting the shot right, he didn’t spend much time rehearsing for his scenes, he said, “When there were rehearsals, I would try not to spend too much time on it because then it would become rehearsed. Thanks to Akshay, our director, I was able to jump right into a scene and allow the prep to come to the surface organically”.

When asked about did he miss all fun which took place on sets of show, on this he responded, “Until I finish the work, everything is about work! It’s the reason we get paid. So all the gala and fun time started only after we finished the day’s work. And having said that, I have my way of unwinding, which is in solitude”.

Puncch Beat 2 is the sequel to the hit youth drama Puncch Beat, released in 2019. The Alt Balaji series primarily revolves around college, teen drama, and also a murder mystery this year. Anuj plays the character that investigates the murder. The second season also stars Priyank Sharma, Siddharth Sharma, Khushi Joshi, Harshita Gaur, Samyuktha Hegde, Kajol Tyagi, Nikhil Bhambri, Samir Soni, Nikki Walia and others.
