Ankita Lokhande Gives Deets About Her First ‘Makar Sankranti Rituals’ Post Wedding

The newlywed actress shared about her dreamy wedding celebrations and her future plans.

When Ankita got married to boyfriend Vicky Jain a few weeks back, it was all things dreamy, not only for the couple but also for their fans who had been rooting for their wedding. To see them all dolled up, in ethnic wear, Ankita in her golden bridal couture, fans were left jaw dropped. “You need to have goosebumps when you are getting married and I had goosebumps,” mentions an ecstatic Ankita reminiscing her wedding day. said “Both of us walked without any drama. It was subtle and full of feelings. And I was just happy that I was getting married.”

Talking about her 14 December grand wedding Ankita said, “I had fun at my wedding. It was beautiful.” She further adds, “People were literally crying. Vicky was also crying when he saw me. And I’m happy that I did that to him (laughs)”. About her own emotional moment, she shares, “The minute I saw my dad crying, I started tearing up.”

She further shares how the 3-day long wedding festivity got even special in the presence of her family and close friends.

“Everyone has their own wedding plans. Vicky and I planned a few things too. Jo socha tha usse kahin zyada achchi ho gayi cheezein. We were excited and super nervous since it was a one-take thing. I always wanted my wedding to be different. My wedding was not too much tadak bhadak. It was very classy, just the way I wanted it.”

The actress also mentions how she was very clear with what she wanted in her marriage and shares how there want even an iota of confusion or finick in lives in her marriage. “Being an actor, I visualize things quickly. I’m not a confused girl. My outfits were also classy. I wanted to wear minimal jewelry as I wanted to show the glow on my face. I was even particular that I wanted a red garland so that it stands out.”

On the special occasion of Makar Sankranthi, which would be even more special for the couple as it would mark their one month anniversary, shared how the both of them are super pumped for celebrating the festival together for the first time as a Man and wife.

“In Marathi culture, Makar Sankranti is very important. It’s my first post-marriage. So, it’s a big deal. My mum has already prepared and bought all the jewels made out of grains. There’s going to be a Haldi and kumkum ceremony. The newlyweds are supposed to be in black outfits. I’m going to be all dolled up” she added.
