&TV Artists Share Their Cool Summer Diets To Beat The Heat!

&TV artists reveal their cool summer diets to beat the heat. Check out.

It is May, and an intense heatwave has gripped large parts of India. Rising summer temperatures immediately call for change in food and drink intakes to beat the scorching heat. &TV artists Kapil Nirmal (Tarkasur, Baal Shiv), Ambrish Bobby (Ramprasad Mishra, Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai?), Sapna Sikarwar (Bimlesh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Vidisha Srivastava (Anita Bhabi, Bhabiji Gharpar Hai) reveal their cool summer diets to beat the heat.
Kapil Nirmal, aka Tarkasur from &TV’s “Baal Shiv”, shares, “These days, watermelon has become a part of my daily meals, along with other summer coolers like Aam Panna and buttermilk. It’s the right time to hit on citric fruits loaded with vitamin C and antioxidants. Watermelon juice is a great thirst-quencher, too, in this scorching weather. Also, I am a big mango lover, but I suggest everyone soak the fruit in water for a couple of hours to remove the heat from the fruit, squeeze the juice, and refrigerate it before consumption. It works wonderfully to keep your health in the best condition during summer.”

Ambrish Bobby, aka Ramesh Mishra from &TV’s “Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai”?, shares, “Make sure you drink plenty of water or have something like lemonade before you go out. I like to make my refreshing glass of Shikanji sharbat (lemon juice) by adding some mint leaves and sipping it with a pinch of sugar. In the heat, it’s extremely important to pay attention to your digestion. Lemons are high in pectin fibres and ascorbic acid, which are believed to improve digestion. This energetic beverage is the most refreshing drink I recommend this summer to everyone”.

Sapna Sikarwar, aka Bimlesh from &TV’s “Happu Ki Ultan Paltan”, shares, “Curd is one of my favourite foods, and it is an excellent source of probiotics during the summer. My favourite drinks throughout the summer are Lassi and Buttermilk. I shoot in Naigaon (Mumbai) for Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, and next to our sets is a well-known dairy known for its fresh lassi. I go to that dairy and sip the lassi whenever I have time after the shoot. Buttermilk is the second-best option because it is cool, contains lactic acid, and aids digestion. Instead of reaching for aerated beverages this summer, try lassi or buttermilk with or without flavour”.

Vidisha Srivastava, aka Anita Bhabi from &TV’s “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai”, shares, “I prefer to consume fruits that are high in water content. Fresh mixed-fruit salads with black pepper, cumin powder, or flavoured salt sprinkled on top are one of my favourite things to eat. I use a variety of fruits to finish the bowl, including watermelon, mango, grapes, oranges, pineapple, and berries. Cucumbers and tomatoes, high in nutrients, are a must-have for me at lunchtime. I would also recommend cumber-infused water to everyone. It’s also one of the healthiest detox beverages available. All the water-containing fruits and veggies will keep you hydrated and fresh as you beat the heat”.
