Born in Dehradun brought up in Nigeria, Vir Das is an Indian Stand Up Comedian and actor. Vir Das has completed graduation in Economics and Theatre from the Knox College in Illinois. After his graduation, he further arrived in the Stanislavsky program for Moscow Arts Theatre.
It was during his days at Knox where he debuts in stand up comedy with a special on the topic ‘Brown Men Can’t Hump’. He performed eight plays with Moscow Arts Theatre after he trained 6 months for being a method actor. Vir returned to India in 2003 and started doing many Stand Up Comedy performances with specials like Not for Members Only, Bored of The Things!, Who Let the Das Out?, Son of a Switch! and also Brown Men can’t Hump.
It was 2009 when Vir got his first chance in Bollywood movies. He made a special appearance in the movie Namaste London as one of the groom’s. Further, Vir was seen in movies like Love Aaj Kal, Delhi Belly, Shaadi Ke Side Effects, Badmaash Company, etc. Vir also made it play a few lead roles in movies like Go Goa Gone, Madstizaade, etc.
The actor, the comedian is known for his comic timing and his ability to tickle our sensitive nerve. We are really being inspired by the success story of Vir Das.
