32-year-old actor Aditya Singh Rajput was found dead at his Andheri residence on May 22. He was found unconscious in his bathroom. He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. Some unverified reports claim that he died due to drug overdose. However, the police stated that the case is still under investigation.
DCP KrishnaKant Upadhyay said to the media, “Aditya Singh Rajput used to live on the 11th floor. He was found in an unconscious state in the bathroom. With the help of watchman and cook, he was brought to the bed and the doctor was called. He was then referred to the hospital. Rest of the details will be known after the investigation. We are investigating the matter and we will let you know what has happened exactly.”
He refrained from comments on the rumour of drug overdose.
Aditya Singh Rajput’s postmortem will be done today to know the cause of the death. His family will also reach Mumbai today for the final rites of the actor.
Aditya was born and brought up in Delhi. He started his career as a model at the age of 17. He featured in films like Krantiveer and Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara. He also participated in reality show Splitsvilla 9. Aditya was also a part of TV projects like Love, Ashiqui, Code Red, Aawaz Season 9, Bad Boy Season 4, and others. He appeared in over 125 advertisements.
