Ana de Armas has shared her opinion on the question of whether there should be a female Bond role. In a recent interview, the actress said that there’s no need for a female Bond. However, Ana de Armas’s opinion on the matter is particularly noteworthy, as she starred in last year’s No Time to Die. She explained her point while noting, “There shouldn’t be any need to steal someone else’s character, you know, to take over.”
De Armas continued, “This is a novel, and it leads into this James Bond world and this fantasy of that universe where he’s at.” Rather than seeing a female Bond, the actress shared that she would like to see roles with more substance for women. The Gray Man actress added, “What I would like is that the female roles in the Bond films, even though Bond will continue to be a man, are brought to life in a different way.”
Ana, who played the role of Paloma in the latest Bond instalment, added that her hope is future women will be ‘given a more substantial part and recognition. That’s what I think is more interesting than flipping things.’ Fans liked her part in 2021’s film, which was Daniel Craig’s last run as James Bond. After the movie debuted, fans took to their social media to praise her, hoping that she’ll return to reprise the role.

A recently shared video showed her in a black crop top and skintight leggings, as she demonstrated a fight scene with a gun. In a tweet, she said, ‘I still run like a chicken. But, I wanna thank the incredible stunts team who helped me train and get ready for this incredibly demanding role.’
