Sushant Singh Rajput Row: Maharashtra’s Home Minister Anil Deshmukh Says That No CBI Probe Required In The Late Actor’s Case

Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty had urged Amit Shah to initiate a CBI inquiry for the late actor’s demise. However, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has said no to the same saying that Mumbai Police are doing everything they can.

The untimely tragic death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput has sent shockwaves across the nation and the fans have been storming the internet asking for a CBI probe. However, Mumbai Police is working in full swing from the past one month to get to the root of the Chhichhore actor’s drastic step.

Meanwhile, yesterday Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty finally broke her silence and joined Sushant’s fan army in demanding a CBI inquiry into his sudden demise. The Jalebi actress mentioned that she wants to know what prompted Sushant to cut short his life.

Rhea asked India’s Home Minister Amit Shah to go forward with the CBI probe to clear out the mess. Now, according to the reports, Maharashtra’s Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has asserted that no CBI probe is needed.

In a chat with a leading news daily, Anil Deshmukh reportedly said that the Mumbai Police are handling Sushant’s case and are leaving no stone unturned including that of a professional rivalry. Further, Deshmukh added that CBI inquiry is not required as the Mumbai Police are doing everything they can. He even assured that when the police find out something, it will be revealed to everyone. However, the police haven’t discovered any ‘foul play’ in the sad demise of the 34-year old actor.

Anil Deshmukh said, “I have the tweets and the campaign. But I don’t think that a CBI probe is required. The Mumbai Police is competent enough to handle such cases and they are investigating every aspect of the case including professional rivalry. As of now, we do not see any foul play. Details of the investigation will be shared once it is completed.”

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput died of suicide on June 14, 2020, and his dead body was found hanging at his residence in Bandra by a house-help. He was reportedly battling with depression for the past couple of months. Sadly, the actor didn’t leave any suicide note by his side.
