Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Rhea Chakraborty’s SC Hearing Postponed Due To Technical Glitch

The Supreme Court has postponed Rhea Chakraborty’s hearing due to some technical glitch. The actress made a plea seeking transfer of probe in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case to Mumbai. Read below to know more.

Following the sudden demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, his alleged girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty has become a prime suspect in his case. A while back, the late actor’s father K.K Singh filed an FIR against Rhea and five others for abetment to suicide and fraud. The complaint was filed in Patna, hence the Bihar Police became active and started an independent investigation in the case.

Later, Rhea Chakraborty made a plea to the Supreme Court to transfer the probe of Sushant’s case to Mumbai Police who is already investigating his suicide case. Post the first hearing on August 5, the Supreme Court had set another date to Rhea’s transfer petition and it was today (August 11).

However, the Jalebi actress’s plea seeking transfer of investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case to Mumbai has been postponed for now. Reports claim the hearing has been deferred due to some technical glitch. Sources said that as soon as the Supreme Court started hearing, the screen automatically went blank.

Earlier today, the late actor’s family has alleged murder in their statement to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).  The latest update suggests that after weeks of investigation, the 34-year old actor’s father and sister have asked the CBI to look into the case as a case of murder and not as abetment to suicide.

Currently, Rhea Chakraborty along with her brother Showik Chakraborty and Sushant’s former manager Shruti Modi are being grilled by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Rhea has summoned by the ED officials pertaining to the money laundering charges livid on her. 

Sushant’s roommate and among the prime suspects in the case, Siddharth Pithani also marked his presence at the ED office yesterday to record his statement.
