The sudden demise of Bollywood’s budding actor Sushant Singh Rajput sent shockwaves not only across the entertainment industry but also the whole nation. The Chhichhore actor died of suicide on June 14, 2020, and his death has left a void in our hearts which will never be filled. He was reportedly battling depression for the past couple of months.
In the midst of all this, Sushant Singh Rajput’s last outing Dil Bechara is slated to release this month on Disney+Hotstar on July 24. Meanwhile, his breakthrough TV serial tiled Pavitra Rishta featuring Ankita Lokhande is all set to re-release too.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the shooting of several shows has been halted since mid-March. While things are getting back to normalcy, there have been certain hurdles as crew members are testing positive for COVID-19. Amid the lockdown, many old shows like Ramayan, CID, Mahabharat, Bade Achhe Lagte Hai re-aired on television to entertain the viewers while at home.
Now after 11 long years, Pavitra Rishta too will be witnessing a re-run. For the unversed, before entering into Bollywood, Sushant ruled the hearts of millions by portraying the character of Manav Deshmukh in the famous TV serial. The Ankita Lokhande co-starrer was a massive hit among the masses.

Post Sushant’s demise, Ekta Kapoor revealed that the channel wasn’t initially sure about casting the late actor in the show. In an Instagram post she shared,“After being 35 of 50 slots we were out of top 50! This show was a chance @zeetv gave us based on a show #tirumatiselvum ! Wanted to cast a boy as lead who was doing second lead on our other show ! D creative in zee was adamant he dint look d part ! We@convinced them his smile wud win a million hearts…..and it did @sushantsinghrajput.”
Now, Pavitra Rishta will be re-releasing on Zee5 and his fans can’t contain their excitement. The date of the re-release hasn’t been announced yet but with Sushant’s untimely exit the show will surely bring a smile on everyone’s face.
