The film depicts the 1965 Indo-Pak air war and the high-stakes retaliation assault by India on Pakistan’s Sargodha airbase. Social media users have been quite responsive to the film, which stars Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan, and Nimrat Kaur in their breakthrough roles.

Drawing comparisons with Siddharth Anand’s film Fighter, an individual wrote, “A no-nonsense patriotic movie, far better than Fighter. We Indians can proudly say #SkyForce is our filmmaking.” Just a night before the release, Fighter director Siddharth Anand was seen taking an indirect dig at the makers of Sky Force.
