Veteran star Shatrughan Sinha turned 79 on December 9th, 2024. With the rich legacy in both acting as well political arena, the Bollywood’s iconic villain came a long way in a time that nobody realized. Recently his daughter and an eminently beautiful Bollywood star Sonakshi Sinha got married. While the actress was all her hearts out on marrying the love of his life with an Islamic actor Zaheer Iqbal, the society on the other hand shared immense criticism on the same. Not only fans and followers,but Sonakshi ‘s brothers Luv Sinha and Kush Sinha were also equally against this marriage, that stemmed out of a 7 year long relationship. After the entire family stayed silent on this for quite a long time, the veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha in an exclusive chat with Lehren has finally broken his silence on the same. Shatrughan came talked about why he chose to support Sonakshi – Zaheer wedding idea, despite seeing the cultural diversities between them.
In an exclusive interaction when Shatrughan Sinha was asked to shed some light on their sons not attending Sonakshi-Zaheer’s idea of marriage, he begins to avoid the question saying “Let’s talk about it on some other day”. Further, he opens up saying that “the sons might be unhappy, because this decision has come out like a cultural shock to many, but being a father if he was there for in Sonakshi-Zaheer’s support, he also mentioned that he also, definitely understood the pain or confusion that Sonakshi’s brothers Luv-Kussh would have been striked down with, when they would have heard of Sonakshi-Zaheer.
Sinha further adds, “Shayad mai bhi us age me rehta toh mera sochne ke ravvaiya kuch alag hota.But ab seniority hai, maturity hai.. i have learned so many things in life that I stood like a pillar for my daughter and blessed the newly weds with all my love..” (Maybe if I was of their age,my way of thinking could also have been different or maybe similar to them, but currently I am more mature and wiser than them) as he exclaims about why his sons could not be supportive of daughter Sonakshi’s wedding..
