The world-renowned American singer and actor, Selena Gomez was among the many celebrities who handed over their Instagram handles to Black leaders so they can spread the message of the Black Lives Matter Movement.
Moreover, the 28-year old star hasn’t been quite active on social media when it comes to her own private life and of course, Selena has a valid reason for the same. Taking to her Instagram handle, Selena shared a heartfelt video to update her fans and followers on why she has not been active on social media lately.
The video began with Gomez saying, “Hey! I wanted to take some time to do a quick message for you guys because I haven’t been posting that much. I just wanted to let you know that I love you guys and I miss you and there’s so many exciting things coming up that I can’t wait to share with all of you.”

The Good For You singer further added, “I just think at the beginning of this year, with everything going on, it felt a little insensitive to post things that may be a little just… joyful or celebratory, it was really hard for me.”
The singer then continued by saying that she has taken time to truly learn about what is going on and she continues to make it her priority. Selena further mentioned that she is going to be a little bit more involved and she’s going to show more of her personal stuff and what she has been up to shortly.
Selena then thanked her fans for always supporting her and she promised to talk to them soon.
