Daredevil fame Rosario Dawson to play Ahsoka Tano in Jon Favreau’s Mandalorian season 2.

Rosaria Dawson who played the infamous character of Night Nurse in Netflix’s Marvel shows has been cast to play the Clone Wars character of Ahsoka Tano in Jon Favreau’s Mandalorian season 2.

This marks the character’s first arrival into live-action, Ahsoka is Anakin Skywalker’s Jedi padawan who appeared in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels.

Reportedly, back in 2017 a fan tweeted Rosario Dawson and asked her to appear in a Star Wars movie as Ahsoka, and the actress responded, “Ummmm… yes, please?! #AhsokaLives”

The tweet encouraged clusters of fans to start a campaign for her to play the character. Dawson was later asked about the fan campaign while appearing on Good Morning America, she commented: “It would be amazing!”

Before Ahsoka was part of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels, the character appeared in several comics, novels, video games, and even in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, as the voice Rey hears at the end of the film. However, there is no news about how her character will take the story forward but her casting has made everyone excited.
