Riddhima Kapoor Sahni Refutes Rumours Of Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar And Neetu Kapoor Testing Positive For Coronavirus

The news spread like a fire on social media that Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, and Neetu Kapoor have been found to be infected with the coronavirus. Well, Riddhima, daughter of late actor Rishi Kapoor took to her Instagram handle and set the record straight to shut down fake news. Read more below.

Ever since Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan revealed that both had tested positiveĀ for COVID-19, reports started to do the rounds stating that Ā Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and director Karan Johar had also been contracted the deadliest Coronavirus.

The false news went viral on and off social media, alleging that the three had contracted the virus as Bachchan ‘s grandson Agastya Nanda had attended Neetuā€™s birthday party early this week hosted by Ridhima.

Well not taking too longer Riddhima took to her Instagram handle and set the record straight to  shut down fake news, she wrote ā€œPlease verify and clarify before you tweet! We are all good! Thank you very much!ā€   

She added, Ā “Attention seeking ??? Least verify/ clarify ! We are fit We are good ! Stop spreading rumours ! #lunatics”

This confirmation comes shortly after both Amitabh and Abhishek released statements on their official handle to inform those close to them to be tested.

ā€œThis evening I tested positive for COVID 19 .. have been shifted to Hospital .. authorities informed .. family and staff tested results awaited .. all those that came in close proximity to me in the last 10 days please get yourself tested,ā€ said Amitabh while adding a photo of himself.

The veteran star has been admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital where he has been seeking treatment and taking tests.

Whilst telling fans that his father and he had “mild symptoms,” he asked people not to panic and “stay calm.” Abhishek tweeted, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.”

He went on, ā€œThe BMC has been in touch and we are complying with them.”

Fans, friends and Bollywood film stars offered their prayers following the announcement and wished the father-son duo a speedy recovery.
