Bollywood star Parineeti Chopra is a brilliant actress when it comes to acting. The actress made a lot of headlines upon her marriage with political leader Raghav Chaddha from Aam Aadmi Party. Recently in an open discussion, Parineeti Chopra came out with her feelings after she lost the role to Animal. the actress who was supposedly sandeep vanga reddy’s first choice for the film, did reject the movies and till the date holds no regrets despite the success.
Parineeti Chopra with husband Raghav Chaddha appeared on India TV’s “Aap Ki Adalaat” show. she was asked about rejecting the role of rashmika mandanna in the film animal. parineeti revealed that “everything was almost done and we were all ready to start shooting for the film, but because god’s had a better plan for me, another movie named “Amar Singh Chamkila ” by Imtiaz Ali was offered to me across the same dates.” Parineeti further went on explaining how the role of Amar Singh Chamkila’s wife in the movie held more weightage in her viewpoint than the one in Animal, opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
As the actress continues to talk about the Imtiaz Ali directorial, she mentioned, “I was offered many songs, I was singing songs composed by AR Rahman, Imtiaz Ali was my dream director. I was offered to do so much more, that I chose to do Chamkila. And the love, support, recognition, respect and nominations which I got because of Chamkila, I think I don’t regret it, I am happy.”
While the seated viewers cheered out loud with praises on Parineeti Chopra, the interviewer playfully went on asking husband Raghav if she took the right step in terms of financial viewpoint.
To this, Raghav replied in her favour , “If she would have not signed Chamkila, then we wouldn’t have met” he added how most of the shoot scenes were conducted in punjab and that is when the two met.
The movie amar singh chamkila starred diljit dosanjh in a significant role of amar singh, while parineeti played the role of his wife. in the interaction ahead, they also talked about how parineeti ensured to gain 15kgs extra. recently famius singer daler mehendi briught this movie into headlines by calling out diljit dosanjh for cutting his hair “short” for this movie. Daler criticised that despite sworing on the Sikh traditions, Diljit Dosanjh chose to take his turban off and flaunt shorter hair.
