Social media star Bhuvan Bam has made his journey to OTT web series by making short Youtube videos within four walls of his house. Known to play various characters in his youtube videos for his channel ‘BB Ki Vines’, the prominent Youtuber created his own web series named ‘Dhindora’ where he played 12 characters all by himself. Meanwhile, the actor and singer is all set for his official web series debut with Taaza Khabar on Disney+ Hotstar.
Bhuvan is excited to share a screen with well-known actors of the entertainment industry. He is elated to feature in his first ever web series for Disney+ Hotstar. In the show, Taaza Khabar BB will play the role of a Mumbai-based sanitation worker. The story will unfold his struggle to come out of his poverty and lead a better life.
Bhuvan Bam said: “JD Chakravarthy and Deven Bhojani are people we have grown up watching. JD Chakravarthy Sir’s character in ‘Satya’ is still untouchable and Deven Bhojani has been an iconic figure in the Gujarati theatre scene.”
He further added, “As you can imagine, I had to put in my best to bring things to their level. Even for such big names, their humility and down-to-earthiness are something else. Working with such big names has always been a dream and seeing it happening feels great.”
Sharing the teaser of Taaza Khabar on his official Instagram account, Bhuvan Bam wrote, “Ek vardaan ne badal di Vasya ki kahani. Watch Me in a never before seen avatar – #HotstarSpecials #TaazaKhabar coming soon.”
Taaza Khabar is the debut series of Bhuvan Bam on OTT platforms. He has also made a debut as a producer, co-producing the series under his home production company, BB Ki Vines Production. Helmed by Himank Guar the series also features Shriya Pilgaonkar. The show will exclusively premiere on Disney+ Hotstar, however, the release date is still awaited.
