In early March, Sushmita Sen shared the shocking news that she had suffered a heart attack and underwent angioplasty. “I survived a very big heart attack. 95 percent blockage in the main artery. It was a phase and it passed. It doesn’t scare me,” the actress said in an Instagram Live session she did a few days later.

Aarya 3 Sushmita Sens co-star Vikas Kumar, who plays ACP Khan in the Ram Madhvani-directed crime drama series, revealed in his recent interview that the actress-turned-Miss Universe suffered from such an attack while filming the third season in a row in Jaipur. She added that even the actors found out the same thing when she shared it on her social media.
Speaking to News18, Vikas said: “A big part of the third season is done. The show is set in Rajasthan. There are some exterior scenes that we need to shoot in Jaipur. We ended up there, but unfortunately, Sushmita Sen had a heart attack. At first, we didn’t know. Finally, in a few days, we found out when she revealed it to the world.”

“In the beginning, even she didn’t know what had happened. Tests were done and everything. She later found out and told the world. That’s how we met. We only did one day of shooting and then we realized we couldn’t go on. By then it was clear it wasn’t just a one or two-day affair, but we had to stop. So we stopped for a while,” the actor added.
Vikas even concluded that the entire team hopes to resume filming for season three in Jaipur “very soon”. The Disney+ Hotstar Aarya Show, starring Sushmita Sen in the title role, is the official remake of the Dutch drama series Penoza.
