True Detective: Night Country, Release Date, Cast And More

True Detective became a hit soon after its release back in 2014, with fans demanding more the series received two more seasons. The last season aired in 2019 and fans have been waiting patiently for a new season, and finally, the series is getting a season 4 True Detective: Night Country.

HBO Max dropped a few clips of its upcoming series in 2023 including “The Idol,” “Velma.” and “Succession.” True Detective season 4 clips were also shared which gave fans a confirmation that they can expect the season to drop in 2023.

“True Detective: Night Country” First Look

With the First look revealed people are speculating what the season will be about although not much is known regarding the plot of the series. In the clip, we can see Jodie Foster and Kali Reis wearing puffer jackets trying to keep them warm without losing sight of a trail of mysterious disappearances. The series has been filmed in Iceland and we can see a cold and rainy setting in the clips as well. This isn’t Jodie’s first detective gig, she starred in “The Silence of the Lambs” where she played the character of an FBI trainee.

“True Detective: Night Country” Plot

Not much has been revealed about the plot of the show, but we know that the series will show unending dark nights, in a town far north called Ennis. Eight Arctic Researchers go missing and the detective duo of Jodi and Kali are sent to investigate the incident and find the whereabouts of the missing. According to the show’s tagline, the detectives must, “confront their pasts and the dark truths lying underneath the Arctic ice.”
