Tom Hiddleston Is Set To Return For The Night Manager Season 2

Amazon Prime Video and the BBC are set to collaborate on a second season, with the proposals involving a two-season order.

Tom Hiddleston is set to return for The Night Manager Season 2. It’s been more than six years since the premiere of first season of The Night Manager in 2016. And since then viewers have been eagerly waiting for the second season. In fact in the meantime, we Indian also got our very own The Night Manager starring Aditya Roy Kapur. The series is well received by the audience.

But now as reported by Deadline, Amazon Prime Video and the BBC are set to collaborate on a second season, with the proposals involving a two-season order. The new season will see Hiddleston reprise his role as Jonathan Pine, and the Season 2 will begin filming later this year in London and South America. David Farr, who wrote the original, is also returning to write Season 2.

The plot will reportedly see Pine be informed of Richard Roper’s (Hugh Laurie) death, and subsequently face up to a “new” and “deadlier” threat. Season 1 director Susanne Bier has already cast herself out from the second season. And it is not yet clear, who will be directing the second season.

The first season which also starred Hugh Laurie, Olivia Colman, Tom Hollander, Elizabeth Debicki and David Harewood, aired in February – March 2016 in the UK.

The first season received lot of critical acclaim and commercial success, with Hiddleston, Laurie and Olivia Colman all winning Golden Globe awards for their respective performances.
