Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: Premiere Date, Cast, Storyline And More

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 is scheduled to premiere in July 2023, here’s what we know so far about the series.

Jujutsu Kaisen became a fan favorite soon after its release back in 2020. Based on a manga by Gege Akutami, it revolves around the protagonist Itadori Yuji who eats a finger of the King of curses Sukuna, and his journey in fighting curses.

Manabu Ohtsuka in a recent interview revealed that the season won’t be following the trails of the first season and that the team is aiming for much higher growth and success when the 2nd season airs. While what the statement meant is still unclear it has given fans something to look forward to.

What new challenges are waiting for Yuji and his friends, let’s find out.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2: Release Date

It’s been almost three years since the release of the first season and fans can’t wait to watch the new season. After months of waiting, the show finally confirmed the show’s release date at Jump Fest 2023. The show will be released in July 2023. The new season will follow a different structure and will be released in two parts, both parts will be covering different arcs of the manga. Two teaser images were released suggesting what this arc might be about, the first image featured Gojo, Shoko Ieiri, and Geto Suguru in their Jujutsu uniform, while the second image featured Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2: Plot

Since it’s confirmed that the season will be released in two parts, the first part will cover chapters 65-79 of the manga featuring Gojo and Geto who are on a mission to guide Star Plasma Vessel to Tengen. The second part will cover chapters 79-136 of the manga (Shibuya Incident)  and will revolve around a plan to steal Goto made by Gojo.
