Game of Thrones prequel is scheduled to release on August 21 worldwide on HBO Max. However, fans can stream House of the Dragon on Disney+ Hotstar a day later. The makers have recently taken to Twitter to announce the news while sharing the first official trailer writing, “News from King’s Landing- House of the Dragon starts streaming 22 Aug, only on Disney+ Hotstar. #HOTDonHotstar.”

The trailer provides a brief first look into the upcoming HBO prequel, the events and what’s in store for the soon-to-be iconic characters. The show appears to take inspiration from its predecessor as the teaser showcased scenes with sword fighting, and jousting, along with intricate set designs, distinctive costumes, dark lightning and the iron throne itself, now with more spikes.
