Ekta Kapoor has been receiving flak for her web series XXX Uncensored for several months now. It is an erotic comedy-drama series that showcases different aspects of sexual relationships. XXX season 1 came out in 2018 on Alt Balaji, while the second season premiered in January 2020. As the show reached a wider audience, people began to criticize Ekta for allegedly insulting soldiers and hurting the sentiments of their family members in the web series.
This week, an arrest warrant was issued against Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor at a court in Bihar’s Begusarai district. The warrants were issued by judge Vikas Kumar on the basis of a complaint lodged by Shambhu Kumar, an ex-serviceman who said in his complaint that the web series had several objectionable scenes related to a soldier’s wife.
Amid all this controversy, Ekta Kapoor took to her Instagram and posted a reel on her profile. Yesterday, she compiled some happy images of herself with Brahmastra actress Mouni Roy and wished her a happy birthday. Ekta wrote in the caption, “Happie bday d astra of all mediums !!! Show meeee d mani @imouni old joke but u pull out bigger stones from ur celestial bag !happie bday u rocstaaa.”
Birthday girl Mouni Roy replied, “I love you so so much.”
Meanwhile, people took a dig at Ekta Kapoor in the comment section. A user wrote, “suna hai aapka arrest warrant nikla hai.”
Another comment reads, “Ekta Kapoor please chup jao kahi yaa india se bhaag jao bihar police mumbai ke liye chal chuki hai arrest karne ke liye.”
Meanwhile, Ekta hasn’t spoken about the arrest warrant yet.
