Orlando Bloom revealed in a recent interview with the Associated Press that his fiancé Perry — who is expecting the first child of the couple together, a daughter, this summer — is doing “great,” in her third trimester.
“Aside from the giant belly, you wouldn’t know [she’s pregnant],” said the Carnival Row actor, 43, laughingly said, “She’s a force of nature, obviously, as we all know, as everyone knows.”
“But it’s been really impressive,” Orlando lauded Perry, 35. “There’s no complaining. She’s just all about it. It’s pretty awe-inspiring to see the way she handles herself at this time. It’s just business as usual.”
Perry, whose new album will be out on Aug. 14, also said that “there are a lot of rules” going into parenthood, and that immediately “you start sacrificing.” “You start becoming a mother, or a parent, once you conceive. Definitely,” the singer said.
Perry also said she and Bloom “have yet to decide specifically on her name” for their daughter — but they’ve “got options,” and assume “she’ll tell us” when she comes.
“I’ll look at her and go, ‘Oh yeah yeah, you are her, you are that’ ” Katy explained.
Bloom is already a dad to 9-year-old son Flynn, but the baby on the way is going to be the first for Katy Perry — and in a very special manner also a new adventure for the Lord of the Rings star.
“He’s really excited for a little girl,” Perry said about her fiancé. “They say that little girls are ‘Daddy’s little girl,’ that’s how it’s gonna be, [so] we’ll see!”
