Nicki Minaj soon to be a proud mommy! In a stunning Instagram picture on July 19, the rapper, 37, announced the exciting news, simply writing, “# Preggers,” and adding a yellow heart emoji.
Nicki’s still pretty far along in her pregnancy. In her stunning photo, which was part of a wider photo shoot, she showed off a massive baby bump — you can see all the beautiful pictures below! Nicki is dressed in a traditional rapper’s outfit: a multicolored floral bikini and enormous, fringe-decorated, sky-high lucite heels.
Fans assumed Nicki could be pregnant after she said she was nauseous and “peeing non stop” during a May 7 Twitter Q&A. She also teased that she would release a baby bump pic in “a couple months”. Well, which she did.
As she tends to joke a lot with her fans, and people weren’t taking it too seriously. A week later on Twitter, she posted a stunning, makeup-free pic. Fans certainly believed they had seen a bun inside the oven. She soon deleted the pic.

While Nicki did not mention her child’s father on the post, she’s married Kenneth “Zoo” Petty. Nicki had gone public in December 2018 about her affair with Kenneth. She posted a PDA photo of the two at her 36th birthday party.
Nicki faced widespread criticism from fans and followers when she first unveiled her romance to the public, who learned that Kenneth is a registered sex offender. Nonetheless, Nicki was not bothered. Then she kept posting more of the couple’s PDA pictures and videos.
It was eventually disclosed that Nicki and Kenneth had a wonderful experience together — they met each other when they were just kids, and they rekindled their romance when Nicki was home in Queens, NY during Thanksgiving 2018.
Nicki and Kenneth tied the knot together in October 2019, after less than a year. They had a close-knit wedding and Nicki explained they will have a bigger down the road ceremony. This, however, marks Nicki’s first child, who has previously opened up about hoping to start a family whenever the right time comes.
“If I’m done with my fifth album and I don’t have a child by then, no matter how much money I have, I would be disappointed, as a woman, because I feel like I was put here to be a mother,” Nicki said in December 2014 to Complex. “I have definitely put off the wife thing because I don’t want people in my business. I’d rather not do anything that’s going to be on paper, but I definitely will be married before I have my baby.”
“I want to make sure I do it in that order,” she went on. “I’ve always felt like that since I was young; my mother always put that in my head. By the fifth album, I will have walked down the aisle and I will at least be on baby No. 1, possibly baby No. 2. And have $500 million.”
On the work front Nicki currently has four studio albums out, her latest being the 2018’s Queen. And with her life dreams, the rapper wasn’t too far off. Nicki previously dated rappers s Safaree Samuels and Meek Mill.
