Mukesh Khanna Calls Bigg Boss A ‘Behooda Show’, Shaktiman Star Says Show Encourages Vulgarity

Right from Ekta Kapoor's nasty choices of daily-soap dramas, to the weird concepts of laughing out at The Kapil Sharma Show, Mukesh Khanna complained of several non-fictional shows he did not appreciate.

Indian TV actor Mukesh Khanna, over the years has delighted many viewers across the globe. The iconic role of Shaktimaan not only enlighted the childhood of the 90s kids, but became a memory to cherish forever. After Shaktiman, he worked in multiple genres of films and TV serials with his sharp wit and performance on-screen. As the veteran actor was invited to a quick chat, he expressed his feedbacks on the TV serials, and reality shows streaming nowadays.

Indian show Mahabharata’s Bhishma fame Mukesh Khanna in a recent interview with Bollywood Thikana, made some huge revelations about several stars. Right from Ekta Kapoor’s nasty choices of daily-soap dramas, to the weird concepts of laughing out at The Kapil Sharma Show, Mukesh Khanna complained of several non-fictional shows he did not appreciate. While talking about the same, Khanna revealed that he has been approached by the Endemol team of Colors TV four times, to join their reality show Bigg Boss. Mukesh has always chosen to reject their request because he feels reality shows, like Bigg Boss encourages nudity, and vulgarity.

Terming it as a ‘Behooda Show”, Mukesh Khanna said that for one of the BB seasons, he got consecutive calls from the makers. Although, Khanna did not pick any of the calls, he later connected to them over message, where he was approached by them to join the show. In a very straight-forward response to Endemol, Mukesh Khanna said, “I Do not like Bigg Boss”. When the interviewer was asked the reason behind, he claimed, “It is not our culture. Bigg Boss is lifted from America’s show Bigg Daddy, and it completely encourages vulgarity through the show.” Adding further, he said that Bigg Boss shows men doing what they never do – gossiping and backbitching about others.

Mukesh Khanna in the interview also mentioned that he finds no logic in Kapil Sharma’s comedy show where you have to laugh on constant jokes. He then also took a jibe on Ekta Kapoor’s choice of daily soaps and expressed his distaste upon the same.
