The new trend of every Indian movie re-releases in the cinema and letting every heart skip a beat by recalling the nostalgic days is quite evident these days. While the trend started with the Imtiaz Ali directorial ‘Rockstar’, it has now also picked up the golden movies like Hum Apke Hai Kaun, Jab We Met, Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein from the early 2000s and late 90s to gather the same love from the audience. However, the constant re-releasing of Bollywood movies has raised questions amid the online users.
As another film from the 2000s – Veer Zara is set to release this weekend, fans have shown immense excitement. But, a large section of the crowd also pointed out towards the failure of the current films at box office. The latest re-release of 2001 love story ft. R Madhavan and Dia Mirza – RHTDM garnered a lot of recognition from the young generational fans.

However, this constant effort by the cinema hints towards the fact that how badly the new releases are failing to secure a good position amid fans. The movie re-releases which were earlier praised by all, is now counted as a monotonous effort. Users on reddit have begun to react claiming that the new movies are so bad that the makers have to keep re-releasing the old ones. They believe makers are either releasing 2-3 films on the same day or going complete dead at all. This clearly indicated the recent releases Vedaa, Khel Khel Mein, and Stree 2 and their success rate that followed.
