On the 59th birthday, Michelle Obama penned a heartfelt note for her husband with love. On Aug. 4, The Michelle Obama Podcast’s former first lady and host shared an adorable throwback photo to Instagram with their daughters. “Happy birthday to my favourite guy. Here’s to all the good days, blue skies, and new adventures to come.” she wrote adding a picture with Malia and Sasha, who are now 22 and 19, respectively.

For the Obama family, it’s been an eventful week, as Michelle ‘s latest podcast officially debuted July 29, with none other than her husband as her first guest. The dynamic couple discussed everything from their love story to the value of organizing the society and even their children. “More than anything, what it would be is that they’re living in a country that respects everybody and looks after everybody, celebrates and sees everybody,” Barack said on the podcast. “Because we know that if we’re not around, but those girls are in a society like that, they’ll be fine.”

“When in doubt, rely on hope,”  Michelle Obama said, but also expressed her concerns about the future. “The only thing that worries me… I hear I think too many young people who question whether voting, whether politics is worth it,” she added. Agreeing to which Barack Obama said, “The danger for this generation is that they become too deeply cynical in government. Not understanding that all governments are us, collectively, making decisions together.”

The Michelle Obama Podcast plans to have open and intimate discussions focused on a series of subjects related to women’s wellness, marriage, and mentoring benefits. The series of nine episodes will have many guests such as the talk show host Conan O’Brien and Valerie Jarrett, a businesswoman, and Barack Obama‘s former senior advisor.
