The on-going coronavirus pandemic forced many filmmakers to reschedule or call-off their films indefinitely as the theatres across the nation remain shut. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra might also get postponed since the shoot of the film is still pending. The producer of the Ayan Mukerji directorial, Karan Johar is reportedly aiming for June 2021 release.
In March earlier this year before the lockdown got imposed, Ayan Mukerji had 26 days of shoot left. However, the makers are now planning to resume shooting in October at Film City in Mumbai. As per the sources close to the development, the director of the film will kick-start work in two shifts- 9 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 9 pm.
Now, as per the new guidelines issued by the authorities to curb the spread of COVID-19, the crew members present on the set will be minimal and separate for both the shifts. If the situation is under control, they will resume the shoot in October as they plan to wrap the film by December 2020.
According to the new rules, actors over the age of 65 are barred from sets for health reasons. The makers are hoping that the decision will be reversed for Amitabh Bachchan to resume the shoot.
Earlier there were reports that the first look of Brahmastra is expected to be out in August. Reportedly, Ayan’s team is working on a special preview video trailer that will give everyone a glimpse into the fantasy world. The movie will be a trilogy and Ayan doesn’t want much gap between Part 1 and Part 2 and as of now, the blueprint of all the parts is ready.
