Mahesh Bhatt Pens A Note Before Release Of Sadak 2

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has been receiving a lot of flak after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. On one hand, when people are calling for a boycott of films by Bhatt family and Karan Johar, Mahesh Bhatt has written a note ahead of the release of his upcoming film Sadak 2. The note by Mahesh Bhatt was shared by his daughter Pooja Bhatt on her Instagram. It reads, “Today as we begin the last leg of our journey.I feel unshackled! I carry no burden, no weight. No reputation to hold on to. No mission to accomplish. Nothing to prove to anyone. If the film works it belongs to all of you. If it does not, it’s mine. That’s the duty and also the privilege of the Director . You all gave me so much love and support for which I am very grateful. I love this film because each one of you made this possible. Ahh now I feel like a free bird. My wilderness is calling me. Saying “Mahesh chalein?” While sharing this note from her father, Pooja also shared several pictures from the sets of Sadak 2. Sadak 2 is the sequel to 1991 film Sadak. The new version stars Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. It will be releasing on Aug 29 on an OTT platform. This film marks Mahesh Bhatt’s return as a director after 20 years. We now have to see the response of the film as several people have boycotted Bhatts after the death of Sushant.
