Kumar Sanu Opens Up On “Missing Romance” In His Married Life

Unhappy from his married life, Kumar Sanu once exclaimed that the essence of love that he has missed out in his life, is used by him in his songs, and audience is interested in only listening to his melodies, while he tried to skip questions about his familial controversies.

Kumar Sanu, fondly known as the King of Melody, is a legendary figure in the Indian music industry. Renowned for his distinctive voice and ability to convey deep emotions, he dominated the 1990s playback singing scene with an impressive record of consecutive hit songs. In a flashback interview with Lehren, Indian singer Kumar Sanu talked about his musical journey in the industry, where he narrated about his first break, his private albums, and being compared to Kishore Kumar for the melancholy he holds in his voice. Kumar Sanu, also reflected on his professional bond with composer duo Nadeem-Shravan. He said that most of his superhit songs were collectively made by him and, Nadeem and Shravan. When asked about his personal background, the singer chose to skip the question saying that, “This is my personal and private thing and I think private ko private hi rehna chahiye”. He avoided to talk about his family life as he mentioned that there have been many controversies already swirling around it.

Kumar Sanu Calls ‘Romance’ A Missing Factor In His Marriage

Talking about his familial life, Sanu has been into headlines for his controversial married life, and fans have seen his name popping up in matters of affairs, divorce and second marriages. In this flashback interaction, Kumar Sanu himself accepted that he did not share a romantic relationship in his married life. He said, “Family life mei main happy nahi hoon.. Jis tarah se maine romance chaaha meri life mei, us tarah se mujhe mila nahi. Shayad isliye mera gaana itna romantic hota hai.” He exclaimed that the essence of love that he has missed out in his life, he puts that essence in his songs, and audience is interested in only listening to his melodies, and not about his familial controversies.

Reportedly, Kumar Sanu was separated from his wife when his third child Jaan Kumar Sanu was just six months old. After that his name was linked with several other individuals. Despite these controversies, Kumar Sanu’s professional life was not affected at all. His voice was associated with legendary singer Kishore Kumar.
