The untimely death of Sushant Singh Rajput led to a heated debate on the social media platforms about nepotism and favoritism existing in the Bollywood industry. The Chhichhore actor died of suicide on June 14, 2020, and since then there have been many speculations on his tragic demise.
Reports claim that Sushant was battling depression from the past few months and was also on medication for the same. The reason for his depression is considered that he allegedly lost 7 films within six months and was even boycotted some big names in the B-Town.
Throughout the debate and arguments on Sushant Singh Rajput row, filmmaker Karan Johar’s name has been dragged through the mud by the netizens. It was only a few days back that Mumbai Police busted a social media racket and arrested a man who was using multiple fake accounts to not only sell them to increase someone else’s followers but also create panic and stress in society.
Many celebs were attacked with vicious messages of a select few people who think they have the right to write nasty things. Some even went to the extent of sending physical assault threats to the celebs.
Recently, Alia Bhatt and her sister Shaheen Bhatt also broke their silence on the online threats, abusing the Bhatt family. Even Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty called out the trolls and even asked helped from cyber police.

Meanwhile, the hearsay suggests that Karan Johar who is also facing the backlashes is also working on taking some action against the trolls. The filmmaker has been allegedly in talks with his lawyers to make sure that they take the right step against the trolls that are threatening him and his family members.
A source revealed, “Karan is actively pursuing legal action. A team of lawyers, as well as online tech experts, have come together to see this through. The tech people in the team are tracking the social media handles that are trying to intimidate him through violence. They want to unearth these accounts, fake and real and submit the evidence to the relevant authorities. The comments got out of hand when people started to threaten physical harm and abuse to his children and gave rape threats against his mother.
Apart from calling out the trolls, many celebs have filed FIR and the police have taken their complaints rather seriously. Police are currently investigating the situation thoroughly before taking any big step.
