Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat is making headlines as she marks a historic achievement at the Paris Olympics 2024. Making the nation proud, Phogat defeated Cuba’s Yusneylis Guzman Lopez and made her spot at the finale by a score of 5-0. As the female makes everyone proud, actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut has come up in her appreication in a way that politically allowed her to beautify the BJP government.
The victory is the new talk of the town as Vinesh Phogat turns to be the first woman to reach Olympic wresting finals. Last year, the wrestler garnered much attention as she filed a complaint against the chief of Wrestling Federation Of India (WFI) Brij Bhushan Singh. She made headlines when no one took her issue seriously, and videos of her alongwith several other women being dragged on the streets by Delhi Police went viral. However, Kangana, being a representative of the Bhartiya Janata Party took a moment on her Instagram to appreciate the “desh ki beti”, while also calling her out for her past deeds.

Kangana shared a picture of Vinesh Phogat and wrote, “Fingers crossed for India’s first Gold Medal… Vinesh Phogat at one point took part in protests where she raised the slogans of ‘Modi teri Kabr khudegi.’ Yet she was given the opportunity to represent the nation and receive the best training, coaches, and facilities. This is the beauty of democracy and the mark of a great leader.”
While netizens after the story have encountered Kangana Ranaut on her way of chanting the Modi Raag, others showed criticism for using her victory to beautify the democracy-led by BJP government.

Phogat who earlier made headlines on her protests was also backed by many, as she brings a new ray of hope for the country to bring a medal home. Many political leaders from the Opposition including Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders have expressed their disregard on how Modi ignored her protests completely, and yet again the female comes above rising at the top.
