John Wick Fame Keanu Reeves Makes Comic Book Debut In Collaboration With Boom Studios

John Wick star Keanu Reeves is not only a great actor and a super cool person, he is also a writer of comic books.

The actor worked with Boom Studios to create BRZRKR, a film about an immortal warrior named Berzerker, who after years of violent projects for the US government.

He fights the wars that are too dangerous for anyone else and he is given the truth about his life in exchange.

Print versions of BRZRKR # 1, featuring cover art by Grampá (Dark Knight Returns: The Golden Child), will be released this October in local comic stores.

“I have loved comics since I was a young kid and they have been a significant influence on me artistically,” Reeves said in a statement.

“To have the chance to create BRZRKR and collaborate with legends in the industry like writer Matt Kindt, artist Alessandro Vitti, colour artist Bill Crabtree, letterer Clem Robins, and conceptual/cover artist Rafael Grampá — along with the great folks at Boom Studios — is a dream come true.”

The actor strikingly looks like the new character of a comic book, so when Hollywood comes calling, Reeves is ready to hop into his shoes and wait.

“I’d love to play Berzerker!” Reeves told USA Today. “It’s a really fun story so if it’s not me, hopefully someone can play it.”

Comic writing debut for the 55-year-old actor comes almost a year after playing rocker Johnny Silverhand ‘s character in “Cyberpunk 2077.”

Reeves will be seen next on the work front in Bill and Ted Face The Music. He is also working on the Matrix franchise for the fourth installment.
