After facing an unexpected delay, Nikkhil Advani’s directorial, and sharvari- John Abraham film Vedaa has finally surpassed the Censor Board’s clearance guidelines. As per the makers’ wish, the film will be releasing during the Indepenedence Day with no additional delay.
John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh starrer, VEDAA premiered its screening on Junge 25th, this year. To the entire team’s surprise, inspite of immediately passing the movie with a green flag, it was sent further with the demand of making additional revisions in the same. However, on July 29th, Vedaa has finally been cleared with a ‘UA’ certificate. The CBFC, after multiple delays, gave the John Abraham film a thumbs-up with a UA rating.

Multiple cuts and changes were demanded by the censor board team, which when revised, was cleared immediately. The film is set to release on August 15, 2024. Besides, it will also face a box-office clash with Bollywood films like “Stree 2“, and “Khel Khel Mei”. Also, it will face an equal competition with two regional movies, Double iSmart and Thangalaan.
Director Nikkhil Advani’s Take On The Delay
Due to the CBFC ‘s delay in approval, this John Abraham film release was in jeopardy. As the makers could see no quick response of the censor board on whether the film passes on their regulations or not, the release date was about to be postponed. But, because the makers highly anticipated the film to release on Independence Day itself.
A week ago director Nikkhil Advani shared to his Instagram, expressing his disappointment publicly. He penned a note on behalf of the enitre production team of Vedaa. The note read, “We, the producers of Vedaa, feel compelled to share with our fans and supporters that despite our best efforts, we are still to secure a clearance and certification from th CBFC of India…..it is our earnest request and wish that these words reach those who are able to help.”

John Abraham Film Vedaa Releases ON TIME: After the dedicated efforts of the team, the John Abraham film is ready to be released on this Independence Day. The planning is set to make a bang on the theatres with multiple other top-notch bollywood films.
