Joey King is calling out her co-star Jacob Elordi after claiming he ‘d never seen their movie, The Kissing Booth 2, before.
In a recent interview, the 23-year-old actor told Variety that he had not seen the Netflix film which was premiered last month on the streaming network.
“I haven’t seen it,” Elordi said about the movie, where he stars in both installments alongside King as her on-screen love interest. “You’ve seen more than I have. I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that, but I haven’t,” he said.
Reacting to the statement of Elordi ‘s interview, King could not resist but rebuttal his statement, and tweeted, “Jacob watched it. He’s capping,” but she deleted the post quickly.
While King and Elordi share a romance on-screen in the film series, the pair also once had real-life romance too. The duo had previously dated after filming the first Kissing Booth for a year and a half, before ending their relationship back in 2018.

The Emmy-nominated actress opened up about reuniting with the star of Euphoria back in November 2019 while on the podcast Mood With Lauren Elizabet.
I know what everyone wants to know, of course,” said King, addressing indirectly what it was like to work with Ex Elordi again. “It was crazy. It was a wild experience. But honestly, it was a really beautiful time. Because I learned a lot about myself and I grew as an actor.”
She went on to say, “I grew as a person on this,” and revealed, “It was fine. It was good,” as she was asked what it’s like to work with her ex on intimate scenes.
Meanwhile, a third installment has already been shot in the Kissing Booth series and will be premiered
Next year on Netflix, where the two stars will reunite. The third installment of Netflix ‘s iconic rom-com franchise has been filmed in secret alongside the South African sequel, and King surprised her fans and The Kissing Booth fans on social media news in an Instagram post.
“Coming to Netflix in 2021 #TheKissingBooth3,” she wrote alongside a video clip announcing the upcoming installment for the same. “I couldn’t be happier!!!! Should Elle go to Berkeley or Harvard????????”
The film is currently in post-production and will be released in 2021. The entire cast will return for the next installment — including King, Elordi, Joel Courtney, Taylor Zakhar Perez, and Molly Ringwald.
