Jason Derulo has really earned $75,000 for every TikTok video he makes, and the singer “Savage Love” discussed the argument in a recent interview with Complex.
Derulo, 30, explained in the interview how the social media app lets him unlock his creative ability with no restrictions.
“I feel like I thrive on TikTok because I can show me,” he said. “TikTok is all about creation and I love building things from nothing.”
Asked about the rumor he ‘s making about $75 K, he disclosed that he’s actually making more.
“I think it’s tacky to say what I do make from them, but it’s far more than that,” he said laughingly. “But, I’m not going to say what it is.”
In addition to releasing chart-topping music, Jason Derulo has used his time in quarantine to become the undoubted “King of TikTok.” The singer and songwriter has steadily gone viral for taking part in app-wide challenges, trying to make the world’s largest pancake stack and constantly pretending to break his front teeth. Derulo opened up about his success on the app in a recent interview with Complex and how he managed to effectively communicate with his audience through short-form video.

TikTok, Derulo said to Complex, plays with his imaginative talents and makes him fans a new degree of authenticity.
“I’m able to show who I am, whereas [with] other apps, I didn’t thrive as much because I couldn’t show me,” he said.
Derulo says consistency is essential
The “King of TikTok” comes with his stresses to be crowned, but Derulo says he uses the opportunity to uplift up-and-coming talent.
