Abhijeet in a recent interaction said that, “When Dua Lipa was performing, was she singing the song? Was she dancing to the song? People were shocked in the stadium when they heard a sound. They could not see the video. They heard the song. The war started right there. Dua did not say even anything. She does not know that a singer is different, the person who acts on that song is different, the dancer is different and the person who creates the song is different. The writer is different, the producer is different,” Adding further to his stance with News18 Showsha, the renowned singer said that the international artist should have taken his name at the stage before she began to perform with it. Infact, not only him -Abhijeet Bhattacharya felt that Dua should have also credited the other composers and writers of the song like Anu Malik as well.
“To be very frank, I don’t care who is Dua Lipa. She can take my name or not but when she performed it on stage, I was flooded with all the calls“, he added. Abhijeet Bhattacharya also tried to defend his son who bashed a media outlet for not crediting his father for the song Wo Ladki. He stated that his son wrote that because felt bad for his father, and no other intention. “He just said it because he is my son. He is a singer himself, he is a producer and a creator“, he mentioned further.
