And the two eventually developed a close friendship while working on the movie and spent much time together promoting the film. While promoting their new movie, Zendaya and Holland become subject to a whirlwind of dating rumours, all of which they continuously deny on social media.

However, they apparently make their relationship Instagram official in September 2021. Tom Holland paid a sweet birthday tribute to Zendaya on Instagram sharing a behind-the-scenes film photo of their time on the Spider-Man set. Since then, Tom Holland and Zendaya usually gush about each other in a number of interviews. However, they still keep their romance private.

Previously, Holland said that the couple will have a discussion about revealing details of their relationship when the time is right. “This isn’t my story. It’s our story. And we’ll talk about what it is when we’re ready to talk about it together,” he said at the time. Holland spoke about his bond with Zendaya and his desire to keep his personal life private during an interview with GQ. He said, “One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore.”

The Spiderman star added, “a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world.” The Uncharted actor added, “I’ve always been really adamant to keep my private life private because I share so much of my life with the world anyway. We sort of felt robbed of our privacy. I don’t think it’s about not being ready. It’s just that we didn’t want to.”
