Zayn Malik To Star Alongside Bridgerton Actress Simone Ashley In Animated Film ’10 Lives’

Zayn Malik is all set to make his acting debut with the upcoming animated film, 10 Lives.

After Harry Styles debuted his acting career, another former One Direction star is also trying his hand at acting. Zayn Malik has recently landed his first film role in the upcoming animated film, 10 Lives. The singer-songwriter has joined a cast featuring Bridgerton actress Simone Ashley and three-time BAFTA winner Mo Gilligan.

Derry Girl’s star Dylan Llewellyn and Hotel Rwanda fame actress Sophie Okonedo are also set to voice characters in the new film, as reported by Variety. According to the outlet, 10 Lives is the story of a ‘pampered and selfish cat’ who receives the 10th life after wasting his first nine. Duck Duck Goose director Chris Jenkins is slated to direct 10 Lives. The reports of Malik’s casting came just a day after the singer broke his social media hiatus with a rare selfie.

The former One Direction star showcased his pink locks as he stared baffled into the camera. For his return to Instagram, Zayn showcased his chest tattoos as he donned a grey knitted cardigan worn open, accessorizing his look with a chunky silver chain. Zayn’s lengthy locks fell about his face as he squinted into the camera while standing in the bright sunshine.

Responding to his post, Zayn’s dedicated fans begged him to release new music, with several remarking how much they missed him. For the unversed, Malik last released an album, titled Nobody Is Listening, in 2021. It was his third solo album. However, last few months back, Zayn Malik mesmerised his fan with a beautiful video of him. The singer took to his Instagram and shared an acapella version of himself singing One Direction’s fourth studio album, Night Changes.

Seven years after parting ways with one of the best-selling boy bands of all time in 2015, the singer sent fans into a frenzy as he shared a video of himself singing the song. Zayn left One Direction in March 2015 leaving stunned the Directioners the group had garnered since shooting to fame on X Factor in 2010. However, in his first book, an autobiography titled, Zayn, released back in 2016, he reflected on his decision to leave One Direction.
