William Dufris, The Man Who Voiced The Character Bob The Builder, Passes Away

William Dufris, popular for the voice of Bob The Builder, the very famous and loved character passes away after battling cancer.

William Dufris, commonly recognized as the voice of Bob The Builder, a popular toon character, passed away after a battle with cancer at the age of 62.

His Pocket Universe Productions partners, the company he co-founded, have confirmed the news over Twitter.

“We are heartbroken to announce that the co-founder of @pocketplot and the director of EC Comics Presents… The Vault of Horror, William Dufris has died from cancer.”

For nine seasons of the TV show, Bob The Builder, Dufris voiced Bob the Builder in the US and Canada.

Dufris began his radio career in London and at one point was starred as Peter Parker in a Spider-Man audio drama. In 75 episodes he played Bob The Builder before being replaced in 2006 by comedian Greg Proops.

He also featured Rocky And The Dodos in children’s show, and in anime movies such as X and Lupin III.
