Will Smith is trying to give a comic touch to this year old incident Infamous oscar slap controversy.

Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars 2022, when the comedian made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, has become the most shocking incident in Academy Award history. Now, it seems the 54 year old actor is trying to give a comic touch to this year old incident.

Will Smith surprised everyone by sharing a new video on his social media accounts with social media user @missmoneyworking

In the video Will is sitting on a couch in the duet video, as he watches her explain on screen how you can ask anything you choose, including a car, a pen, money and/or more what it thinks of you, and your intuition will give you the answer. After she was finished, he grabbed his Oscar statue, which he won in the Best Actor category for King Richard, and slowly brought it into view. He gave off a curious face as if he was thinking of asking the Oscar what it thinks of him after the slap, and began to say something right as the video ended.

For the unversed, Will Smith was banned from Academy Awards for 10 years following the slap incident. And the actor also issued an apology to Chris Rock a day after the slap, calling his behaviour “unacceptable and inexcusable”.

Then four months later he released a six-minute video further explaining his actions.

On the work front, Will Smith will be next seen in Netflix Original Film Bright 2 and Bad Boys 4.
